AC Milan are looking for opportunities in the transfer market. The idea is to reinforce the defensive area without spending big fees. Geoffrey Moncada and his team of scouts are always working to identify the right profiles, also with the help of consultant Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
AC Milan set sights on a Spanish player.
According to what has been reported by Matteo Moretto for Relevo, the Rossoneri club managers are targeting the profile of Cristhian Mosquera. He is a 20-year-old Spanish centre-back (with Colombian roots) who stands at 191 centimetres tall.
As per the latest news, the young talent's entourage have been in talks with Valencia over a contract renewal, set to expire in 2026. The talks are now stalled, however, due to disagreements on the release clause. The player’s representatives are pushing for a 25 million euros clause to give the player decision-making power in the event of a compelling offer. Valencia, on the other hand, traditionally includes clauses of 100 million euros but remains open to negotiation, as seen with Giorgi Mamardashvili and Yunus Musah.
The Spanish club, starting from a baseline of 35 million euros for potential negotiations, currently does not agree with the agents' demands. However, Relevo clarifies that Valencia’s refusal to include a €25 million release clause does not mean the club wouldn’t consider a similar offer from Milan.
