Tuesday evening, in the Sky Sport Italia studios, former AC Milan player Zvonimir Boban appeared on the post-match show of the Champions League to comment on the Rossoneri's victory against Slovan Bratislava.
Despite the win, which came with some struggles and sparked criticism, Boban acknowledged the challenges of the match. Here are his words:

"The victory is well-deserved. Milan still dominated, and in the first half hour, they deserved to be ahead by 2-3 goals. But then, at a certain point, they inexplicably started taking too many risks at the back. When you already have a defence that isn't protected and lacks a proper shield—because Fofana has been struggling lately and Reijnders has somewhat disappeared since his excellent performance against Real Madrid, you end up having to scramble back. Instead, they stood still, and the others broke through them. So, Milan's defence took too many risks. In the end, you conceded two goals against, in my opinion, the worst team in the Champions League, but at least it's still three points."
Boban added:
"Going forward, they created a lot, as I said. There are many things to fix, especially the carelessness in situations when Slovan had the ball and how easily these players, who are of average quality, managed to create opportunities. This is obviously concerning. So, Fonseca needs to address this, even though he’s been trying from the beginning without success. Against Juve, there had been solidity, but maybe that was also because Juve wasn’t at full strength."
