Christian Gimenez, Santiago’s father, spoke to Fox Sports Mexico and discussed the Milan striker, who is set to leave the club:
“Santiago is doing well. There are negotiations underway. Porto made an initial offer to Milan, but the Rossoneri rejected it. There is still a negotiation between the two clubs.”
Regarding his son’s experience at Milan, he said:
“It did not go as we had hoped. Obviously, it hurts because I always say that we have photos of Santi as a child wearing the Milan shirt. I was reflecting on what happened: he arrived at Milan and started playing, but he already had an injury. He did not want to stop because he was becoming a starter for Milan. However, every time he played, the injury got worse.”
