The Atalanta forward was the standout player in the team's emphatic Champions League victory against Young Boys, scoring two goals and providing three assists. The former Milan number 99 praised Gian Piero Gasperini's work, discussed Paolo Maldini, and, as usual, criticised Rafael Leao.

"There was a guy who was mocked by all of Italy, and Paolo Maldini was harassed because he shouldn't have brought him to Milan: De Ketelaere. He scored 2 goals and made three assists. He was decisive in 5 goal-scoring situations."
Cassano continued to praise Charles De Ketelaere:
