Moments of fear and apprehension in Florence. The match between Fiorentina and Inter, being played at the Franchi Stadium, was interrupted a few minutes after the quarter-hour mark due to a serious medical emergency involving Edoardo Bove.
What happened to Edoardo Bove?
The Fiorentina midfielder suddenly collapsed in the middle of the field, prompting both teammates and opponents to immediately call the medical staff onto the pitch. The medics rushed to the scene and transported the player by ambulance, as relayed via Milannews.it.
Players were shaken and in tears, as were the fans in the stadium. Referee Doveri inevitably suspended and postponed the match.

How is Fiorentina's Edoardo Bove now?
According to initial reports, the player in question has regained consciousness and spoken with those around him. An epileptic seizure reportedly caused the incident, resulting in cardiac arrest on the pitch.
The player is now alert, accompanied by Fiorentina's medical staff and some club officials. He will soon undergo a CT scan as he experienced spasms. Video footage shows the 22-year-old midfielder tying his shoelaces, standing up, taking two steps, then staggering and collapsing unconscious.
Dumfries and Calhanoglu, who were near him, immediately realised the severity of the situation, followed by the rest of the players and Bove's teammates, visibly distraught, some in tears with their hands on their heads, as told by ANSA.
Many have shared messages in support of the Fiorentina talent, including the AC Milan club which wrote the following on 'X':
"All our thoughts are with you, Edoardo. Forza."
