Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke to Sky Sport before the Milan-Cagliari match. Here are his live statements:
Were you expecting this impact from Sérgio Conceição? Do you regret not calling him earlier?
“We were looking for a reaction, to give the team a shock with the change of coach. The team accepted Conceição's way of working, which is important. Now it’s important to keep going; if we don't, the Supercoppa will mean less. It was one of our goals, and now it's important to bring this reaction into the league and get the points we need. When you make decisions, you must believe in the choices you make. Until January, we stood by our choice, but there was no continuity, so we made a change.”
What are you proud of as a manager? What would you not do again? Ibrahimovic replied:
“We’re a team, every decision is made as a team. Everyone has their responsibilities. Every day that passes is a new experience for me. I entered a club where the pressure is maximum, and that's what I like. I’m not afraid of these challenges; they motivate me, but I am humble. I need to grow, just like everyone else.”
Milan and Rashford, is it confirmed? Have you talked to the player to convince him? Will you?
“I know Rashford very well; I played with him when he was young. Now he’s a man and confirmed as a great footballer. He’s a Manchester United player; I don’t know if it’s really necessary to convince him, everyone wants to play for Milan. It’s a difficult operation, we haven’t talked to him yet. Let’s see if we speak with him.”
Ibrahimovic, we liked it when you said you're humble…
“I’m always humble, whether I win or lose. But when I play, I’m arrogant (laughs)."
