The trip to Como highlighted the gaps in a team that needs reinforcements in this transfer market.
Milan was expecting the first major developments in these days, as reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, after Sergio Conceiçao gave the okay for Noah Okafor's sale to speed up talks for Marcus Rashford. Given what happened in the last 24 hours, however, the verbs are now in the past tense.

Okafor returns to Milan
It seemed like everything was set. On Monday, Noah Okafor even flew to Germany to undergo the medical check-up with Red Bull Leipzig, which was supposed to be his new team. "Supposed," because the Swiss striker’s tests did not convince the German club, which sent him back to Italy.
The Swiss player will now be available again to Sergio Conceiçao, whose trust he will need to win over through hard work but, above all, attitude.
Despite Okafor’s return, talks for Marcus Rashford will not immediately slow down.
The Rossoneri club will still await the outcome of talks today between the player’s agents and Manchester United, before assessing the best offer, with the player seemingly eager to wear the red and black shirt.
His arrival to Milan, however, will exclude that of Kyle Walker as the club can't sign two British players in this transfer window.
