Last night, Inter’s 'reserve' team managed to get the better of Marco Baroni’s Lazio, securing a spot in the Coppa Italia semi-finals, where they will once again face Milan.

As has often been the case in recent weeks, however, the clash at San Siro was not without controversy. Corriere dello Sport highlighted the issue, headlining its front page this morning with: "Referee and VAR: A Disaster."
The main point of discussion was the (spectacular) opening goal for Inter, scored by Marko Arnautović, which was marred by an offside position from Stefan de Vrij. The Dutch defender was in the path of the shot, preventing goalkeeper Mandas from seeing the ball as it was struck.
Just like Ismael Bennacer’s goal in the 2022 Coppa Italia semi-final, this one should have been disallowed as well, as per the newspaper.
