Daniel Maldini, Atalanta's attacking midfielder, opened up in an interview with L’Eco di Bergamo. Many topics were discussed, starting with his move to the Nerazzurri last January:
"At first, it seemed everything was set for the summer. Then I felt the strong determination of the Percassi family and coach Gasperini, they pushed for me to come right away, and that made the decision very simple. When a club makes you feel so wanted, you can’t wait too long."

What idea did you have of Atalanta from the outside?
"It was clear that this was the ideal place to take an important step forward in my career. A serious club, very well organized, with facilities that allow you to always give your best. At Zingonia, I found confirmation of what I had imagined from the outside. Though I must say that throughout my career so far, from Milanello to Monza’s training center, I have always had excellent conditions to work in."
How do you handle the responsibility of your last name? Daniel Maldini replied:
"I don’t see it as pressure. I know it might sound strange, but I’ve always been used to living with this situation, and it has never bothered me, not even as a child. More than a burden, it’s something you naturally learn to manage."
Does your father advise you in your football decisions?
"Of course, my father, with his experience, is invaluable. He has given me important advice, but my whole family always supports me in my choices, including this move to Atalanta. Having people close to you who support you is fundamental."
