Il Corriere dello Sport on newsstands today headlines this morning on the front page:
"Milan, Paratici is close."
For weeks, the Rossoneri has been scouting various profiles for the role of sporting director, and for days now, Fabio Paratici has been in pole position. The Rossoneri's choice seems to have fallen on him, and the goal of CEO Furlani is to close the deal with the former Juventus executive as soon as possible.

Paratici in pole. But there is the issue of the ban...
Paratici is therefore the favorite to join Milan’s management structure, despite the ban hanging over him, which remains in effect until next June: "If an agreement were to be reached, however, the executive could already begin working 'with reduced duties,' as stated in an official communication dated April 28, 2023, following the acceptance of Paratici’s appeal by FIFA."
"According to FIGC regulations, Paratici will not be allowed until early summer to negotiate with agents and players, enter the locker rooms before and after each match, or represent the club in Serie A League assemblies—except for those concerning financial matters," writes Il Corriere dello Sport," as relayed via the newspaper report.
