Riccardo Montolivo, former Rossoneri midfielder, gave an interview to SportMediaset, in which he spoke about Milan as follows:
How difficult is it for Milan to play at San Siro with the whistles?
"Tough, it's really tough... From an emotional point of view, because you always want the stadium to be on your side. Then, it's difficult to perform at a certain level, especially in moments of difficulty—when that arrives, so does a bit of discouragement. Conceição must be good at creating a united group, at closing ranks in this moment of difficulty, and reaching Europe all together. I don't know which [competition], but he has quality and must try to bring it out from now until the end."

Is Tijjani Reijnders among the best in Europe in his role? Montolivo replied:
"I think so. Without a doubt in our league, but also at an international level, he has shown that he is at the top. I believe he is the true technical leader of this season—he has maintained an extremely high level of quality throughout the entire league, even in difficult moments. He was a great signing."
