Two Serie A strikers on Milan’s radar – But Inter also keen, reportedly

In his usual editorial for TMW, director Niccolò Ceccarini wrote about the future of Lorenzo Lucca and Nikola Krstovic, two of the most interesting strikers in the Serie A championship who have ended up on Milan’s radar and not only, ahead of the upcoming transfer market:

"A season finale to play for the Scudetto and the Champions League, before thinking about the Club World Cup. In all this, there is also the transfer market. For Inter, the moment of truth has arrived on the field, but the transfer campaign for next season is also a very current topic. The spotlight has been turned especially on the attack, where, aside from Lautaro and Thuram, there will probably be a revolution. The main news concerns Taremi. His contribution has not lived up to expectations and for this reason the Nerazzurri club is evaluating what to do. In short, he too is now a question mark, considering that Correa and Arnautovic’s contracts will expire. And so it is clear that an investment will be needed in a department that will see important departures."

Ceccarini added:

"Inter has already been moving for some time to understand which profiles could be the right ones to strengthen the squad. The favorite is definitely Castro from Bologna, who is having a great season and, by virtue of this, his market value has increased significantly compared to when he was bought from Velez in January 2024 for a figure just under 15 million euros. The request from the Rossoblù is 40 million, and therefore setting up a negotiation becomes complicated. Another idea is Lucca, but several Serie A teams are after him, Napoli above all, and this could drive the price up. The starting base remains 30–35 million euros. The Krstovic track, instead, is decidedly more affordable. Lecce, as they did in January with Dorgu (sold to Manchester United for 30 million euros plus 7.5 million in bonuses), aims, if a sale occurs, to monetize as much as possible. Meanwhile, regarding the defense, the hottest name remains Beukema, but the Nerazzurri are also following Lucumi. Another name they like is Garcia from Barcelona, who next Wednesday will in fact be Inter’s opponent in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal."
