Important setback for Bologna in terms of the Champions League.
The visitors lose 3-1 at the San Siro and may drift away from the Champions League race. A first half short on emotions, everything happens in the second half.
In the second half, the match is immediately unlocked in the 49th minute. Great goal by Orsolini, who receives a headed layoff from Dallinga, takes on Pavlovic, and with a curling left-footed shot beats Maignan. In the 62nd minute, Milan responds—a right-footed strike from the Frenchman, Skorupski makes the save. In the 65th minute, triple substitution for Milan: off go Pavlovic, Jimenez, and Jovic. On come Walker, Chukwueze, and Gimenez.
In the 73rd minute, Milan equalizes with Gimenez. Nice vertical ball from Joao Felix to Chukwueze. The Nigerian sends it across to Pulisic, who sets up Gimenez, cool from close range to beat Skorupski coming out. Gimenez then finds the 2-1 in the 75th minute, but it's ruled out for offside.
But Bologna still leaves openings, and Milan takes advantage. In the 80th minute, once again an action starting from the right with Chukwueze, ball to Joao Felix who tries a shot but it's blocked, the rebound falls to Pulisic who aims and clinically beats Skorupski.

In stoppage time, Milan also scores the 3-1 through Gimenez, who gets his first brace in the league. Milan wins 3-1, overtakes Fiorentina, and climbs to eighth place with 60 points, now just 2 behind Bologna, 3 behind the Champions League zone but with one game more. Bologna remains at 62 points, and this could be a heavy setback in their chase for fourth place, as pointed out by Alfredo Pedullà.
