The Municipality of Milan has decided to entrust the task of verifying the actual value of the areas surrounding the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, a.k.a. San Siro, to the Politecnico and the Luigi Bocconi University. On the sidelines of the conference "The End of the Infinite System," the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, spoke about this decision.

Here are his statements:
“We do not believe that the valuation by the Revenue Agency is inadequate, but given the sensitivity of the issue and the objections raised in the City Council, we want to reinforce the process with an additional analysis. If I had to bet, I would say that the estimate will be confirmed. The Agency’s valuation was carried out with great analysis and detail.”
The leader of the Greens, Carlo Monguzzi, responded to Sala's words:
“We have contested that estimate from the beginning; it seemed like a favor to the teams. Now even the mayor is taking a step back, but without even apologizing. And entrusting the verification to the Politecnico is surreal: it was that very university, with an assessment signed by the then-rector, that supported in the Council that the Meazza could not be renovated. From the frying pan into the fire.”
