Club Brugge has rejected Milan’s latest bid for Ardon Jashari as well. Pushing the offer to €33.5 million plus bonuses wasn’t enough, especially since Madou and Rigaux, the Belgian club’s executives, continue to demand €35 million as a fixed (and therefore guaranteed) fee to let the Swiss midfielder leave in this transfer window.

And to think Milan felt fairly confident they could convince them, especially based on signals from the player’s entourage. According to Jashari’s agents, the club’s valuation had been met by Milan’s offer. Apparently not, perhaps more for reasons of principle than economics, especially since Brugge did not appreciate the player’s behavior nor the pressure they’ve faced in recent days, particularly on social media.
Milan still plans to make one final attempt for Jashari, but it won’t go beyond the proposal already made last weekend. If things don’t work out, the club from via Aldo Rossi already has an alternative lined up. That would be Javi Guerra, a Spanish midfielder born in 2003 who continues to reject renewal offers from Valencia. However, that path is far from easy either, with Manchester United and Atletico Madrid also interested in the player.
Given all this, Milan will keep holding firm on Jashari for a few more days, before turning strongly to Guerra, but only if talks with Club Brugge definitively fall through, as pointed out by Milannews.it.
