Adrien Rabiot, sidelined by Olympique Marseille after a dispute with a teammate, is nevertheless included in the 23-man squad named by France coach Didier Deschamps for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Rabiot (30 years old, 53 caps) is no longer training with Roberto De Zerbi’s team and is seeking a new destination, with AC Milan showing interest. France will face Ukraine on September 5 in Wrocław (Poland), and Iceland on September 9 at the Parc des Princes, as relayed via Milan News.
“I have spoken with Adrien several times, but I won’t go into details. Obviously, it’s not an easy situation for him. I don’t know what will happen between now and Monday, when he joins us. The only thing, and he knows this as well, is that on Monday, when he comes into camp, everything will be sorted out… his situation will be clear,” Dider Deschamps commented.
Not included in the squad is Inter defender and 2018 World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard. Present, however, are AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan and Inter forward Marcus Thuram.
