Last night Milan beat Bologna 1-0 at San Siro, and this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport headlined its front page:
“Magical Modric.”

A goal from the Croatian in the second half proved decisive. He took Milan by the hand and, with his first goal for the club, delivered three important points to the Rossoneri, who closed out their second straight match without conceding.
In the final minutes, VAR overturned a penalty for Milan, sparking Max Allegri’s fury. He threw off his jacket and was then sent off for protesting.
Also noteworthy are the injuries to Mike Maignan and Strahinja Pavlovic, with the goalkeeper leaving San Siro on crutches.
