Tension remains high in Milan over the stadium issue and the City Council, which between Thursday and Monday will have to decide whether to approve the resolution for the sale of San Siro and the surrounding areas to Milan and Inter. According to the Milan edition of Repubblica, one of the latest issues concerns the Meazza rent, which the two clubs would no longer pay after the possible deed.
"The amount paid by the teams in 2024 as the annual fee is over 13 million euros, the concession should last until 2030, so the teams would still have to pay more than 67 million," explains Luigi Corbani, president of the 'Si Meazza' Committee. These are funds that obviously Milan and Inter will no longer pay if the purchase of San Siro goes through, as pointed out by Milan News.
