Matteo Moretto, a journalist and transfer market expert, spoke on a YouTube channel in collaboration with Fabrizio Romano to share some details about potential negotiations that could heat up ahead of the January transfer window, though none are currently advanced or officially underway. One of the most talked-about names is Sandro Tonali, the former AC Milan midfielder.
Matteo Moretto said:
"Tonali’s recent comments have sparked the imagination of many fans, especially in Italy and especially among Milan supporters. He has always left the door slightly open for a return to the Rossoneri. Let me explain the most likely scenario right now, considering we’re in mid-October. At the moment, it’s practically impossible to think Tonali will leave Newcastle in January. Any talk about a move will resume in June."
Moretto continued to talk about Tonali's situation:
"The clubs interested will need to work on a deal for next year. Since January 2025, the club that has shown the most consistent interest has been Juventus, led by Cristiano Giuntoli. There have been contacts, meetings, and discussions. Juventus have tried to gather more information, mainly through the player’s entourage. As of today, Juventus remain the most attentive club, along with several foreign teams, including some from the Premier League."
