AC Milan is working simultaneously on the field and in the transfer market. On the latter front, recent reports increasingly link André from Corinthians to the Rossoneri. But what is really happening? And how did the negotiations begin? To address these questions, Brazilian journalist Fabio Lazaro from UOL Esporte spoke to Milan News exclusively.
André-Milan, where do things stand?
"At the moment, the situation is as follows: Corinthians considers Milan’s initial offer rejected, but Milan claims to have an exchange of documents that represents Corinthians’ acceptance of the proposal. Corinthians owns 70% of André’s economic rights and agrees to release the player only if the 24 million euros offered by Milan refer to that percentage, not to the player’s full rights. Otherwise, Corinthians would be entitled to 16.8 million euros."
"The Corinthians president will speak with the player to understand his true intentions regarding the transfer. If André clearly expresses his willingness to move, Corinthians believes it will not be able to keep him in the squad if he is dissatisfied. In any case, the club will aim to receive at least 20 million euros for its share of André’s rights."
