Repubblica’s front page this morning reads:
"Milan beat Roma. Inter, referee controversy."
Last night, Max Allegri’s Rossoneri defeated Gasperini’s Giallorossi 1-0 at San Siro thanks to a goal from Pavlovic assisted by Leao. Maignan was decisive in the second half, saving a penalty from Dybala. With this victory, the Rossoneri move up to second place, level on points with Roma and Inter, just one point behind leaders Napoli.
In the afternoon, Inter won 2-1 away at Hellas Verona’s Bentegodi Stadium thanks to an own goal by Frese in stoppage time of the second half. However, there was much controversy over the lack of a red card for Bisseck after a foul on Giovane. The Inter defender was only shown a yellow, but according to the newspaper, he should have been sent off.
