Today will be a historic day for Milan, as the deed of sale for San Siro and the surrounding areas to AC Milan and Inter will be signed.
"Sale of San Siro: Today is the Day of the Deed"
That is the headline of today’s Milan edition of 'Corriere della Sera', which reports that the stadium and nearby zones will be sold to the two clubs for €197 million, with the City of Milan contributing €22 million toward the costs.
The signing of the sale contract had originally been scheduled for the end of last week but was postponed due to some technical issues with the banks. All the obstacles have now been resolved, and so today the San Siro stadium will officially change ownership, passing into the hands of Milan and Inter. Meanwhile, yesterday councilor Enrico Fedrighini filed an appeal with the Regional Administrative Court of Lombardy, seeking to have the resolution approved by the City Council on September 29 annulled, as relayed via Milan News.
