Luca Bianchin, journalist, spoke on gazzetta.it about a name Milan like, a young Brazilian left-back the Rossoneri management have been tracking for some time:
“Have you ever heard of Kauã Prates? A few Milan fans, here and there, will raise their hand: he is liked at Casa Milan, and not just since today. Some have also read that stat. Kauã Prates has played with the Under-20 team and, for eight league matches and three Copa Sudamericana games, with the first team (Cruzeiro).
"The release clause has only relative value, because the price will be set by the market. The asking price is already around 10 million euros and Milan, like other clubs, have to think carefully at those figures. It is likely already too much for a future-oriented profile who has never been tested in Europe, in a role where Milan are already placing great trust in Davide Bartesaghi. Others will make similar assessments: in Greece there has been a lot written about Olympiacos’ interest, and more than a few lines have been devoted to Borussia Dortmund. In the meantime, Kauã Prates is taking his steps forward: in the spring he won the Under-20 South American Championship as a starter and, at 17 years old, has already stopped playing with the under-20s. Sooner or later, Milan or not, we will hear about him again.”
