With great difficulty, the Rossoneri left Pisa’s stadium yesterday with three points in their pocket thanks to an 85th-minute goal by Luka Modric. Leading at halftime through a goal by Loftus-Cheek, the Diavolo could have nearly wrapped up the match early in the second half, but Fullkrug sent a penalty won by Pavlovic wide. A mistake that could have proved costly (two more dropped points against the Tuscan side), as Loyola equalized a few minutes later. But fortunately for Milan, the Croatian champion scored the winner at the end, allowing Max Allegri’s team to continue their pursuit of Inter.
