Chaos surrounds the sale of San Siro. Today's edition of Corriere dello Sport reports:
"San Siro sale under investigation. Executives and former councillors under scrutiny."
This follows a statement released yesterday by ANSA.
The Milan public prosecutor has registered former Milan city councillors Giancarlo Tancredi and Ada De Cesaris as under investigation, along with Christian Malangone, responsible for the stadium’s sale procedure, and Simona Collarini, the city’s planning director. Also named are several club representatives: consultants Fabrizio Grena and Marta Spaini, and managers Mark Van Huukslot, involved with Inter, Giuseppe Bonomi, president of "Sport Life City," a Milan-controlled company, and Alessandro Antonello, former corporate CEO of Inter and current general director of Olympique Marseille.
The newspaper continues: "The investigation centres on the hypothesis that the sale of San Siro to Inter and Milan, from which the city received 197 million euros, may have been a transaction that favoured private interests over the public good," as relayed via Milan News.
