On his YouTube channel, Carlo Pellegatti expressed his concern, driven by what, in the journalist’s view, is the club’s and ownership’s lack of ambition, demonstrated by the non-existent transfer market activity in January. These were his words:
“For me, Inter are the city rivals. It’s not a matter of finishing behind them, with Inter going up to 21 league titles and us staying on 19. My concern, and that of the true long-standing Rossoneri supporters, is that it must not become, let’s say, a habit to see Inter ahead of Milan. But since I am worried because I do not see any striking change in direction in terms of investment and planning, the only one is Allegri, whom some fans want to get rid of, just think how well things are going. The only anchor we have to remember Berlusconi’s Milan and the right mentality is Massimiliano Allegri. The club and ownership have not shown us this boundless ambition, because otherwise, if they had the chance in January they would not have given away a player; that is proof that they are satisfied with Champions League qualification.”
