Journalist Peppe Di Stefano, speaking live from Casa Milan on Sky Sport, recounted what happened today. Here are his words:
“I’ll tell you a small update: this morning, here at Casa Milan, there was another meeting between Massimiliano Allegri and the club’s management, particularly with Giorgio Furlani and Igli Tare. It shouldn’t be seen as an extraordinary meeting, but rather a routine one, looking ahead to the future. They talked about on-field matters, the next match, and also about the transfer market and Milan’s future prospects. Let’s remember that Allegri still has two years left on his contract with the Rossoneri, and Champions League qualification would trigger an automatic renewal. He wants to stay at Milan, to be part of a winning project, and for that to happen Milan will need to invest in the transfer market not only in young prospects but also in players like Modrić and Rabiot. I reiterate: there was a preliminary, exploratory meeting between the Rossoneri management and Massimiliano Allegri to plan for the upcoming season.”
