Sporting director Igli Tare and chief executive Giorgio Furlani are searching for an international-level centre-forward to build the 2026/2027 Milan side around. Several names have been linked with the Rossoneri in recent months, but one of the most appealing profiles remains Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker, born in 1988, will see his contract with Barcelona expire in June, and the parties have not yet reached an agreement on a renewal. It would represent a major free transfer opportunity, although the salary and commissions requested by his entourage do not fully convince Milan’s management.
Fabrizio Romano has provided some important updates on Lewandowski’s future in his latest video published on his YouTube channel. The transfer expert exclusively revealed some photos of the agent Pini Zahavi, spotted in Italy, more precisely in Milan. Below is an excerpt from Romano’s remarks:
“Robert Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, spent the last two or three days in Milan in great secrecy. He has been one of the most important agents in the world for many years. With him was also the agent Davide Grassi. Zahavi represents many top players: his trip to Italy was an opportunity to deepen discussions regarding several of his clients with different clubs. There have been contacts with Juventus for Lewandowski, but the financial conditions seem too demanding for the Bianconeri. As for Milan, we have reported several times that there is a kind of internal division. The Rossoneri are not fully convinced by the deal. There have been exploratory contacts to examine the costs more closely. Barcelona will offer the Polish player a contract extension, but keep an eye as well on offers from MLS and from Arabia.”
