There will be three final matchdays of fire for Milan, who are playing for a great deal in this end of the season: the future of the club, its coach, and also many of its players. Among them is Adrien Rabiot, who has probably been Milan’s best player of the year, strongly wanted by Allegri, and who has often carried the team in the most difficult moments. Much is also expected from the Frenchman in this delicate phase of the season, in which everything has been called into question with regard to Champions League qualification.
Milan need leadership; they need the charisma of their most experienced players. With Modric out injured, the former Marseille and Juventus man is now the one who must take the team on his shoulders and lead them on the pitch. Tuttosport discusses him in these terms this morning and headlines its piece on the French midfielder:
"Rabiot is missing, now the leader is needed. The Frenchman’s surges and goals are lacking."
In the subheading it adds: "Without Modric, Adrien must take command. And securing a Champions League place is also decisive for his future."
