In the long interview given to La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Rossoneri player Roberto Donadoni said the following about AC Milan:
“Failing to qualify for the Champions League would make the season a negative one because Milan would be out of Europe’s most important competition for two consecutive years. However, the team must not think about that: fear and tension risk paralysing you. It is better to gather all possible energy and focus it on giving your all.
The Rossoneri club can only aim high because winning is in its DNA. I know very well that Silvio Berlusconi is no longer there and that investment funds think differently compared to the great owners of the past. However, Milan fans are used to certain objectives. What does Milan need to aim high again? I believe that Massimiliano Allegri has improved the team’s performances compared to last year. With 3–4 right signings, Milan can close the gap with Inter Milan and return to winning.”
