Regarding Milan’s disappointing transfer market, today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport writes this morning:
“Spending yes, returns no. From Nkunku to Jashari, the figures don’t add up.”
Aside from Luka Modrić and Adrien Rabiot, none of the other new signings who arrived at AC Milan during the summer and January transfer windows have impressed this season.
In particular, two signings have been the biggest letdowns, and they are also the most expensive: Ardon Jashari (34 million euros) and Christopher Nkunku (30 million euros).
Samuele Ricci (23 million euros), Koni De Winter (18 million euros), and Pervis Estupiñán (17 million euros) have also failed to meet expectations.
The only January signing was Niclas Füllkrug, who arrived on loan with an option to buy from West Ham, but he too has not convinced and has scored just one goal so far.
