Davide Ancelotti, son of Carlo Ancelotti, interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, revealed that he feels ready to coach AC Milan just like his father:
"Am I a Milan supporter? Before starting this career, very much so. I’m not ashamed to say that, as a fan, I cried in Yokohama after the defeat against Boca Juniors. Would I coach Milan like my father did? Of course, and I also feel ready to do it."
For years he worked at Real Madrid CF with Luka Modrić, about whom he shared this anecdote:
"He always played wearing a pair of socks underneath the Real Madrid socks. One day, away at Rayo Vallecano, the kit man, who was like a brother to him, forgot to bring them. All hell broke loose; Luka was furious. Speaking of perfectionist players. Did he call us before signing for Milan? In football, that’s normal. Just like Xabi Alonso did before taking over from Ancelotti at Real Madrid."
