Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s WhatsApp channel, journalist Matteo Moretto provided an update on the delicate club situation at Milan, a direct consequence of a very complicated period that is seriously putting Massimiliano Allegri’s team’s qualification for next season’s Champions League into question:
"After the home defeat against Atalanta, there are many doubts at Milan, a great deal of concern, especially regarding qualification for the next Champions League, an objective that seemed already secured but which in recent months has become a real uncertainty. There are also many doubts from a club perspective, because, as we have often said, Gerry Cardinale will at the end of the season draw a line and try to understand how to improve the club internally."
"Everyone is under review, but the background we can provide is that in recent days there have been many internal meetings at Casa Milan, involving in particular Massimo Calvelli, Ibrahimovic and Furlani. Everyone is under scrutiny and all together they are trying to understand how to improve this Rossoneri project, in which the sporting director Igli Tare is certainly in, and has, an uncertain position. Allegri is also under review. We will then understand, also based on the upcoming matches, how the Rossoneri season will develop, but Milan is already starting to work towards the future."
