AC Milan are going through one of their most difficult periods in recent years. After an excellent first half of the season, which ended just three points behind leaders Inter, the Rossoneri have suffered a clear and unexpected drop in form in the second half of the campaign.

The team has strung together a series of negative results, showing a performance level well below expectations and throwing away much of the positive work built up in the previous months. Between mistakes, a lack of consistency and often disappointing displays, the Rossoneri have slipped far away from the top positions in the table. Now, with the season well underway, even the target considered a priority by the club (qualification for next season’s Champions League) is at real risk of slipping away.
Even today’s edition of Tuttosport focuses on the current situation of the Rossoneri, with the headline:
"The five days of Milanello."
We also read the following:
"The training camp ahead of Genoa begins tomorrow, but today there will already be a double training session. There is a season to save."
