Christian Gimenez, father of Rossoneri striker Santiago, interviewed by “Claro Sports” on 'W Radio', spoke about his son’s current situation. His season has been heavily affected by an ankle injury that kept him out for several months:
"He feels very good physically. The injury no longer bothers him. He is improving steadily, building up playing minutes and has already played two matches as a starter. Milan’s situation? The team is not going through one of its best moments, but it continues to fight for important positions and that can help Santiago."
Santiago Gimenez’s father also spoke about his son’s character and the criticism he has received in recent months:
“He and I are very different. If I got injured, I would want to be back on the pitch the next day. He is much more patient instead. The criticism? Those of us close to him often hear certain things or see them on social media, but it does not affect him at all. He is very calm and that reassures us," as relayed via Milan News.
Santiago’s dream is to go to the World Cup with Mexico, Santiago Gimenez:
“Being part of the national team is the best thing that can happen to you,” explains his father Christian. "We are all eagerly awaiting his call-up."
