Zlatan Ibrahimović, after having effectively been sidelined in decision-making matters during this last season, has taken his “revenge” and today he is the only figure still standing, strengthened by his personal relationship with the Rossoneri owner Gerry Cardinale and, above all, by his role within the organisational structure of RedBird Capital Partners. He is the “Masaniello” of the American manager, the man who is leading and will personally lead this Milan revolution which, moreover, was inspired by him himself.
Or at least that is what Corriere dello Sport writes this morning, dedicating an in-depth article to the Swedish executive, titled:
"Zlatan takes care of it from the States."
It then clarifies what we wrote:
"He was the mastermind behind the clean sweep. He is leaving for a month and will follow everything from outside."
The subtitle also reads: "Pundit at the World Cup, he will revolutionise Milan together with Calvelli, Ayre (former Reds) as CEO, and Congerton (former Atalanta) as sporting director." The timing is extremely tight, also considering his commitments in North America: by next week all positions will have to be filled in order to try to give credibility to this project.
