Yesterday immediately brought strong storms back over Casa Milan after Ruben Amorim's announcement had offered a glimpse of clearer skies: Markus Krosche is not moving, and Eintracht Frankfurt are immovable on the matter, for several reasons.
First and foremost, because of the Rossoneri club's way of operating: in Germany, they learned about Krosche's agreement with Milan directly from the Italian media, without the executive having informed the Board of Directors beforehand. This situation hardened everyone's stance, with an outcome that is particularly damaging for Cardinale's club: Krosche, identified as the ideal new Head of Football for Casa Milan and who had also approved the appointment of Ruben Amorim, will no longer be coming. Or at least, that is what the facts suggest today.
Kirovski-Gardiner option is gaining momentum at Casa Milan
The Rossoneri immediately resumed their search for a new profile to entrust with the club's entire sporting department. Given the timing (we are already on 18 June) other clubs are not exactly inclined, to put it mildly, to lose key executives.
As Matteo Moretto reports, over the last few hours an internal solution has been gaining traction, one that would lead to increased responsibilities for Jovan Kirovski, currently Sporting Director of Milan Futuro, and Bobby Gardiner, Head of Big Data, who in recent days also met Ruben Amorim in person.
Milan continue their search for new figures to add to their executive structure and are continuing their evaluations. However, given the circumstances and the timing, it cannot be ruled out that Kirovski and Gardiner could become a concrete solution.
Neither of them holds the FIGC qualification required for the role of Sporting Director and therefore they would not be able to formally sign contracts and agreements. This is where Massimo Calvelli would come into play: the Milan board member who has inherited Giorgio Furlani's responsibilities and powers.
