Ruben Amorim has been very clear from the very first talks with both Gerry Cardinale and the technical committee that will support him in the transfer market: his priority is to sign a top striker who fits his tactical ideas and can guarantee a significant number of goals. On Milan’s shortlist there are several names, including Nicolas Jackson, a centre-forward who has often been linked with the Rossoneri in previous transfer windows.
This is reported this morning by Corriere dello Sport, which explains that the player is coming off a season on loan at Bayern Munich, who however decided not to make the deal permanent, so he will return to Chelsea. His future will not be in London in any case, as he is not part of the plans of the new coach Xabi Alonso. Jackson, who is currently at the World Cup with Senegal, could suit Milan, who are looking for a striker with a certain level of European experience, but the right deal structure with Chelsea will be required: a new paid loan with an option to buy, as done with Bayern Munich, or an obligation to buy tied to certain conditions could be the right solutions to try to reach an agreement between the two clubs, who have an excellent relationship. One only has to think of the many deals closed in recent seasons: from Bakayoko to Giroud, from Pulisic to Loftus-Cheek, and even João Félix and Christopher Nkunku, the latest signing made by Milan from Chelsea a year ago for 40 million euros.
AC Milan also monitoring Gonçalo Ramos:
Another name that has been frequently linked with Milan in recent days is Gonçalo Ramos, the PSG and Portugal striker who, after years as a backup in Paris, wants a leading role and is therefore assessing his options together with his agent Jorge Mendes. The Portuguese forward, who at Milan could find his compatriot Ruben Amorim on the bench, is also being followed by Atlético Madrid, but he will only make a decision about his future after he has completed his national team commitments at the World Cup.
