At the end of the assessments carried out, Gerry Cardinale decided not to appoint a new executive to lead AC Milan's football department. The ownership instead chose to retain a shared structure, in which several senior internal executives will take part in the club's strategic decision-making.
Ruben Amorim will be the leading technical figure. It will be his responsibility to identify the squad's needs and set the priorities for the transfer market, indicating both the areas that require strengthening and the characteristics of the players being targeted. The scouting and data analysis departments will work to identify the candidates who best match the manager's requirements, while maintaining the right balance between quality and financial sustainability.
The decision-making group will consist of Amorim, Almstadt, Gardiner, Calvelli, Castelblanco and Cardinale. Zlatan Ibrahimović will also continue in his role as Senior Advisor.
Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport reports on Christian Pulisic's future with the headline:
"Pulisic Secured, Amorim Has Decided."
Despite transfer interest from elsewhere, the manager has ruled out any departure for the forward.
