The topic of the day at AC Milan is, and can only be, Gonçalo Ramos. The Rossoneri club, in a deal never seen in Milan’s history in terms of price and perhaps even timing, has reached an agreement with PSG to bring the Portuguese striker to the charge of Rúben Amorim. The Diavolo will pay the Paris club up to €74 million plus bonuses that could push the total cost to around €80 million.
Carlo Pellegatti, in his latest video on YouTube, shared his insider information on the reasons behind such a major investment for Ramos.
Carlo Pellegatti’s insight into why Milan would invest so much in Gonçalo Ramos from PSG:
"Someone spoke to Cardinale, who is very happy with the signing of Gonçalo Ramos. I was also told that €40–50 million would have been enough: so why did Gerry Cardinale throw himself into this €70 million venture? According to Milan sources, it is because there was strong competition and Cardinale wanted to immediately satisfy Amorim."
