During the usual video update on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto provided an update on AC Milan's incoming transfer business, focusing in particular on two players who have recently been linked with the Rossoneri:
"Not only is Ugarte's name being strongly linked with Milan, but so is Amad Diallo's, because the former Atalanta player has done extremely well at Manchester United, especially under Amorim. He was something of Amorim's favourite, but we are told that, as things stand, Manchester United have no intention of letting him leave. United consider him an important player for the future. Other players may leave, but at the moment Diallo's future is firmly tied to Manchester United, despite the fact that Amorim rates him very highly and considers him one of the most important young talents in Europe."
On Manuel Ugarte:
"What I can tell you is that, yes, naturally there are rumours because many of the players coached by Amorim are now being linked with Milan. However, in reality there was nothing between the parties, not even any contact. Moreover, the ligament injury Ugarte suffered at the Club World Cup, which will keep him out for seven to eight months, obviously takes him off the market. Manchester United will strengthen in the transfer window, but the possibility of Ugarte leaving United to join Milan is non-existent."
