AC Milan, after finalising the deal for Gonçalo Ramos to strengthen their attack, are now working to bring in a top-class defender for Ruben Amorim. One of the names on the Rossoneri's shortlist is Gonçalo Inácio, the 2001-born centre-back whom the new Milan manager knows extremely well, having been the coach who gave him his breakthrough at Sporting Lisbon.
But what is the Portuguese defender's current situation at the Lisbon club? Only a few months ago, Gonçalo Inácio signed a contract extension until 2030, which includes a €60 million release clause. However, according to Correio da Manhã in Portugal, Sporting president Frederico Varandas is open to selling the player for a lower fee, in the region of €40 million.
