Milan have made their decision: they need to clarify the situation with Rafael Leão immediately after the conclusion of his World Cup. According to Gianluca Di Marzio's official website, there has not been a definitive breakdown between the two parties.
Following the bombshell interview in which the Rossoneri's number 10 informed the club of his desire to leave, discussions about his future were put on hold to make way for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Rossoneri, however, are unwilling to accept a significant loss in his market value: if Leão is indeed to depart, interested clubs have been warned that offers must not fall below €60–70 million. It remains to be seen whether the presence of Ruben Amorim at Milanello will change what may have seemed like a destiny written too far in advance.
