After a month of deadlock following Gerry Cardinale's mass layoffs, AC Milan suddenly burst into action in the transfer market. Following the appointment of head coach Ruben Amorim, the club has already officially announced the signing of striker Gonçalo Ramos, and the deal for a new central defender is also expected to be completed shortly: Mario Gila, who is set to arrive from Lazio. Transfer journalist Luca Marchetti, speaking live on Sky Sport, commented on these early Rossoneri signings made under Cardinale and the club's recruitment team.
Luca Marchetti's comments on Milan's start to the transfer window, with two deals already completed by the Rossoneri:
"Gonçalo Ramos and Mario Gila were deals in which Milan wanted to show its strength: spending significant money and completing negotiations in a very short time. Milan has demonstrated that it has a clear plan and considerable financial resources. We'll see whether, after this explosive yet turbulent start, the team's performances on the pitch will match the momentum shown off it."
