On Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, transfer market expert Matteo Moretto spoke about Aston Villa’s interest in Estupiñán. These were his words:
“There is a player who could leave AC Milan in this summer transfer window, and that is Estupiñán. You know that he is available on the market; Milan will listen to offers for him, and there is a club that has made an approach in recent hours, asking about the conditions and figures involved for Estupiñán, who Milan signed for around €20 million.
"That club is Aston Villa. Aston Villa have made an enquiry. At the moment, there are no official written offers, but there have certainly been contacts between the two parties to understand the feasibility of the deal.”
