Nicolò Zaniolo's future is once again hanging in the balance. The forward continues to endure a difficult spell with Udinese following his permanent move from Galatasaray, while the possibility of a move to AC Milan has also resurfaced in the background. At present, there are no official negotiations, but the Rossoneri are closely monitoring developments.

Zaniolo and Udinese at odds over contract: player not training
Tensions between Nicolò Zaniolo and Udinese have yet to ease. After completing his permanent transfer from Galatasaray, the main sticking point concerns the financial structure of his new contract. The agreement provides for a total salary of €1.8 million per season, but around €300,000 of that amount is dependent on the achievement of certain performance-related bonuses. It is this arrangement that has reportedly caused the player's dissatisfaction.
Meanwhile, Zaniolo continues to train separately from the squad, citing a medical certificate, in a situation that the Friulian club hopes to resolve as quickly as possible. His agent, Claudio Vigorelli, is pushing for a further increase in the guaranteed portion of his salary. Udinese had already improved their offer, raising the fixed salary from the initial €1.3 million per year to €1.5 million, while keeping the contract expiry date at 2029. Another meeting between the parties is scheduled in the coming hours in an attempt to reach a final agreement.
AC Milan remain on standby: Amorim appreciates Zaniolo's qualities
Alongside the ongoing negotiations with Udinese, Zaniolo's representatives have reportedly resumed contact with several interested clubs, as relayed via Milan Press. After holding discussions with Juventus, the player has also been offered to the Rossoneri club.
The Rossoneri's management have reportedly taken note of the financial terms of a potential transfer, although no formal negotiations have begun. From a tactical perspective, Zaniolo is viewed as a player who would fit well into Ruben Amorim's system, particularly in the attacking midfield role behind the centre-forward.
At present, there have been no official offers or concrete moves from AC Milan. However, if the relationship between the player and Udinese were to deteriorate beyond repair, a move to the Rossoneri could become a genuine possibility in the coming weeks of the summer transfer window.
