Daniele Rindone, a journalist with extensive knowledge of Lazio, spoke to Corriere dello Sport about the idea of Yunus Musah joining the Biancocelesti:
"Musah of Milan has emerged as a possibility, having returned from his loan spell at Atalanta. He has several qualities that fit the profile Lazio are looking for and he has always remained an interesting type of player. He can play as a box-to-box midfielder, a defensive midfielder, and even as a wide player in a four-man midfield. Musah is 23 years old and is looking for another destination; he has been offered to Lazio."
"It cannot be ruled out that Milan and Lazio discussed him during negotiations for Gila. At Formello, he would only be of interest on a temporary basis. There is talk of a possible request for a paid loan (€2 million) with an option to buy set at €18 million, linked to qualification for European competitions."
"A permanent transfer seems unlikely because it is difficult to imagine Lazio qualifying for Europe within a year. However, this is a formula that Lotito has been using since January: it allows him to bring in players on a short-term basis without making a long-term commitment."
"Maldini arrived from Atalanta on a loan deal with a buy option linked to Europa League qualification. He has since returned to Bergamo."
