Santiago Gimenez, who is currently not in Australia with the rest of the Milan squad as he is working at Milanello to recover from the ankle sprain he suffered at the World Cup with Mexico, is one of the Rossoneri players who could leave the club this August.
The club managers are looking to find a new destination for the Mexican striker and, in recent hours, have reportedly held initial talks with Porto, who have shown interest in the former Feyenoord forward.
Gimenez does not appear to be part of Ruben Amorim’s sporting project, which is why Milan have effectively placed him on the transfer market. It should be remembered that, in order to avoid a capital loss, the club will need to sell the Mexican for at least €20 million. The Rossoneri would, however, also be willing to accept a loan deal with an obligation to buy. This was relayed via Milan News.
