Monza defeated Milan Futuro 4-2 in a pre-season friendly at the Silvio and Luigi Berlusconi Sports Centre. On the day of Franco Baresi's funeral, both teams paid tribute to the legendary Rossoneri captain by observing a minute's silence before kick-off.
Milan Futuro went into half-time with a 2-1 lead, but Monza produced a late comeback, scoring three goals in the final ten minutes. Ebenezer Akinsanmiro was the star of the second half, netting twice. The former Inter midfielder scored the equaliser to make it 2-2 before adding Monza's fourth goal, with Forson finding the net in between to put the Brianzoli 3-2 ahead, as relayed via Calcio Mercato.

The Milan Futuro team opened the scoring in the first half through Menon, before Varela equalised in the 41st minute to make it 1-1. The Rossoneri regained the lead thanks to Pandolfi and went into the break 2-1 in front.
Monza stepped up the pressure after the interval and eventually found the equaliser in the 82nd minute through Akinsanmiro. The Brianzoli then completed the turnaround with Forson making it 3-2, before Akinsanmiro sealed the 4-2 victory with his second goal of the match.
