AC Milan continue their search for a left-footed attacking midfielder to hand to Ruben Amorim. Although the path leading to Roma’s Matias Soulé remains open, the name of Dario Osorio has gained momentum in recent hours. The 2004-born Chilean winger currently plays for Midtjylland. The latest update on the negotiations comes from Corriere dello Sport.
Reasonable figures, but…
The Rossoneri have already opened talks with Osorio’s representatives, while Midtjylland value the player at between €15 million and €20 million. Osorio had already been monitored by Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara in 2023, but at the time Universidad de Chile rejected an offer worth €5.5 million plus a percentage of a future resale fee, having identified the winger’s potential. The player is now worth around four times that amount.
Before completing any further signings, however, Milan will need to reduce a squad that is considered too large, as Ruben Amorim himself reiterated during his press conference. The Portuguese coach wants to work with a group of around 25 players, meaning at least seven or eight departures will be necessary.
Among the possible players who could leave are Odogu (on loan), Santiago Gimenez, Yunus Musah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Pervis Estupiñán, Fikayo Tomori and Warren Bondo.
